Terms of Service
Effective March 2026
These terms govern your use of Verilex Data, a product of Optimal Reality LLC, based in Dallas, Texas. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
The service
Verilex Data provides structured datasets and analytics via three channels: the x402 pay-per-query API, Snowflake Marketplace, and Databricks via Delta Sharing. Our datasets cover public domain government data including NPI, SEC, NOAA, USPTO, PACER, USASpending, and more, along with derived analytics we produce from these sources.
Payment
API payments use the x402 protocol with USDC cryptocurrency on a pay-per-query basis. There are no subscriptions or accounts required. No refunds are provided for data that has been successfully delivered. Each query is a completed transaction at the time of delivery.
Data sources and accuracy
Our datasets are sourced from publicly available government databases and public domain records. All data is provided "as-is" without guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. We structure and enrich this data, but we do not independently verify every record from the source agencies.
API responses include X-Data-Stale headers
indicating data freshness. It is your responsibility to check these headers and determine
whether the data meets your freshness requirements.
Rate limits and acceptable use
Rate limits apply to all API endpoints. The following uses are prohibited:
- ✕ Scraping or bulk downloading for resale
- ✕ Attacking, probing, or attempting to compromise the API infrastructure
- ✕ Circumventing the x402 payment mechanism
- ✕ Evading rate limits or IP bans
Abuse of the service will result in an IP ban without notice.
OFAC compliance
By using Verilex Data, you certify that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country subject to US Treasury OFAC sanctions, and that you are not on any OFAC sanctions list. We block access from sanctioned jurisdictions as required by US law.
Intellectual property
The raw government data we distribute is public domain and carries no intellectual property restrictions from us. However, our derived analytics, enrichment layers, API design, website content, and brand are proprietary to Optimal Reality LLC and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
Limitation of liability
Verilex Data and Optimal Reality LLC are not liable for any financial losses, trading decisions, business outcomes, or other damages arising from the use of our data or services. Our datasets are informational tools, not financial, legal, or medical advice. You use them at your own risk.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, and unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime. Check our status page for current service health.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
