Privacy Policy

Verilex Data is a product of Optimal Reality LLC, based in Dallas, Texas. We believe in minimal data collection and straightforward privacy practices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

We collect very little:

• • Mailing list — your email address and optionally your name, only if you sign up.
• • IP addresses — logged temporarily for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and OFAC compliance.
• • Analytics — basic page view data via Umami (see below).

Analytics

We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics platform. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information. All analytics data is aggregated and cannot be tied back to individual users. Umami is GDPR-compliant by design.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any third-party tracking scripts.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell, share, or provide your personal information to third parties. Your email stays with us and is only used to send you updates if you subscribed.

Payments

Pay Per Query (x402) — API payments use the x402 protocol with USDC cryptocurrency. Transactions occur on-chain on public blockchains. We do not collect or store credit card numbers, bank account information, or any traditional payment credentials.

Professional Subscriptions — Monthly subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We collect your work email address at checkout. Stripe handles all credit card processing — we never see or store your card number. Stripe may store your payment information under their own privacy policy. You can manage your subscription, download invoices, and update payment methods via the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account page.

Professional subscription data

For Professional subscribers, we store: your email address, subscription plan, API key hashes (never plaintext), and usage metadata (query counts, last-used timestamps). For Team plans, we also store team member email addresses for seat management. This data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after cancellation.

OFAC compliance

As a US-based company, we are required to comply with sanctions administered by the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). We block access from sanctioned countries and may use IP geolocation to enforce this requirement.

Data retention

• • Mailing list data — retained until you unsubscribe.
• • Server logs — retained for 30 days, then deleted.
• • Analytics — stored in aggregated form only. No individual user data is retained.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any personal data we hold about you (such as your mailing list subscription) by emailing support@verilexdata.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
